Carl’s radio journey began at the age of seven, when a presenter from a new local radio station visited his school and talked about the job. Then and there, Carl decided it was what he wanted to do – and although it took until he was fourteen, Carl eventually got work experience at his hometown commercial radio station.
His journey since then has taken him from GWR to Classic Gold and many other commercial stations before joining the BBC and becoming an integral part of the team at the local station in Swindon.
Carl preferred for many years to play the supporting role and contributed as a technical assistant, researcher, reporter and programme producer, before eventually agreeing to become a presenter in his own right after working with Dan Chisholm on a regional BBC Late Show. Carl’s warm personality and quick wit made him popular with listeners.
Carl is looking forward to co-host the Sunday Hangover on United DJs Radio. Sundays 7-9am.
