Tracey’s Radio career spans over 32 years! Beginning at age 13, she was on three radio stations a week during her school years! Her Dad was a musician, grandparents and Mum all worked at some point at BBC! As a child, she was surrounded by music and the radio. Tracey still has a recording of Kid Jenson wishing her a Happy 1st birthday on Radio Luxembourg, which she recently played on her Presenter Training Podcast.
During the 90s, she worked in over twenty pirate radio stations in Ireland and became known as one of the innovators of the dance scene there, introducing Ireland to dance music with hugely successful shows. A popular club DJ, she once turned down a job in Ibiza in order to manage a pirate radio station from her home which broadcast all over Dublin and surrounding counties. Her show on South East Radio Ireland, called Power FM, was the the highest listened to radio Show in Ireland in 1998. She had her own Breakfast show and was Production Manager during nine years there winning many awards for her production and voice over skills. Tracey was also the Voice on many popular Radio and TV Commercials.
She presented the 90s show on National Radio station Today FM Ireland for 5 years before moving to the sunny island of Malta in the heart of the Mediterranean – starting her own Voiceover business while presenting the Afternoon show on National station XFM, Malta.
Currently Tracey can be heard as the station imaging voice at Tipp FM Ireland as well as worldwide on radio and TV.
She now coaches radio stations and presenters from her home in Gozo, sister island to Malta, along with her partner Nails Mahoney in their business, OnAirCoach.
Tracey’s number one passion is radio.
One ex boyfriend told her… “The person she would end up with would have to be as passionate about radio as she is. She doesn’t switch off! That girl is a machine! Always creating ideas and producing things! She doesn’t go to bed most nights til 4am!”
So she finally met her match in Nails Mahoney.
